Well. Out with the old and in with the new! After 18 years of long cold winters and too many hours spent on a chairlift I have decided that it's time for something new. So obviously I have decided to pack up and head to Thailand, dragging my best friend with me. My funny, amazing, supportive, and sarcastic friend Mick and I are heading out of this country in T-4 days to begin our 5 month stint as English teachers in Thailand.
What I love about Mick is that he is game for absolutely anything. After having both announced our retirements from the ski racing worlds we were having a discussion about what comes next. For most people university is the obvious choice but I figure that education is always going to be there right?...you are never too old to learn. So the next thing I know we are signing ourselves up to be ESL teachers and then accepting jobs 11,582 km's from home.(approximately) I guess you could say we both love adventure.
I have a feeling our lives are going to be changing in a pretty huge way. And I can't wait.
