Three happy clams.

Here are a few photos from our very long travel day to Phuket. We look so happy at the start of the trek....not.

The bus station. Atleast we weren't underwater right?

Titties and I took the opportunity to paint our nails.

So did Mick. He is just checking some emails while he waits for his nails to dry.

Finally arrived! Fancy shmancy tuk-tuk. Way nicer than the Bangkok ones.

Alright. Here we go. The good stuff. Obviously the first thing we did when we got to Phuket was hit the beach. This was especially easy to do because we lucked out again and found a very cheap guest house four feet away from the beach. Three to a room isn't bad when all 3 people have OCD. Yesterday was another gorgeous day and so far Phuket is definitely my favourite place in Thailand. The water is so blue, there is so much room on the beach, and best of all, there aren't prostitutes everywhere! Ahh the little things in life. There ARE tons of tourists though but it's a nice surprise when you are in a situation that is so absurd for us, but completely normal in Thailand, and you turn around and find someone who speaks English appreciating it as much as you do. OT.

Mick was a good sport and held our bags while we posed for our same same pictures. The good news is they looked great with his nails...

Twins! For some reason that is completely beyond me, the Thai's loooove the saying "same same". If you are at a restaurant and two people are ordering the same thing it's like Christmas to them because they get to say "same same!!" and it never fails to put a smile on their faces. Obviously we had to get same same shirts so we could be same same sisters and look really cool on the beach....

We stopped and  asked a nice Korean family to take a picture of us jumping. The woman was an absolute champ and got this puppy on the first try. I know, jumping pictures are played, but come on, it still looks pretty cool.

Prettttttty. I think it's safe to say that I could die happy here.

Tanita and I found a jellyfish! It. Was. Awesome. We frantically looked around for something to poke it with. Nothing like a jellyfish to make you act like a six year old. Thankfully we found a stick and we happily poked it for a couple of minutes before finding a bowl to scoop it up in which made it very convenient for Tanita to throw it at Mick.

There are tons of little shells like this all over the beach. They look like thousands of tiny butterflies.

This concludes the first beach session of the day. We are averaging two a day. Sometimes three.

Beach session number two was beginning just as the sun was thinking about setting. What could be better? Well it might have been the tiniest bit better if a certain someone was here, but I'll take what I can get.

Perfect end to the day. We got all clean and went out for a lovely dinner. We ended up going to a place where there were 3 women singing live and they were taking requests. We took full advantage and were delighted to find out that not only did they know the entire Adele 21 album, but they loved singing it too.

Alright everyone. Intermission. That was day 1. I understand if you guys all need a break, stretch your legs, check your facebook. Okay. Feel better? Gooood.

Now, TODAY. Today we rented scooters. Yep. Scooters. And I have never had so much fun on a motor vehicle ever. Buuuut it took some getting used to. For one thing there was that whole 'wrong side of the road' thing. Pretty darn terrifying when you go ripping around a corner and see traffic coming towards you, and since you are used to being on the side of the road the traffic is coming from, you get all confused and for a split second you think you are literally going to die. Then you remember you are on the right side of the road then life is all good again. Until the next corner. Then there is the fact that nobody regards the lines on the roads here so it is pretty much just chaos all the time on the street with people passing each other and scooters weaving through cars. Somehow it works though. And it is really fun once you figure it out.

We decided we would go beach hopping since we had these super awesome scooters to get around on and we scooted out of Patong beach and up a windy tropical road that was just lovely. And did I mention windy?

We spotted a secluded beach off the road and made our move. HOLY COW. The most amazing place on earth. I almost fainted. Somehow we managed to find water that was even more blue and there were about five other people on this beach so it was allll ours.

Life was good and we were enjoying the water...for about 10 mintues. Then things didn't go quite according to plan when Tanita went to check out the rocks. We learned last week on the island that the rocks are very sharp when I got a tiny cut on my foot that bled like crazy. While Tanita was climbing on the rocks she got pushed over by a wave then kept getting pushed by more waves. When she was finally able to get herself out of the rocks it looked like a scene from a bad horror movie. I haven't been around too many flesh wounds, torn acl's yeahh, sprained ankles sure, but flesh wounds, very few. So this was the most amount of blood I have ever seen in my life.

This was about 5 seconds after she got out of the water. It got worse. Much worse.

Like the good little chipmunks we are, Mick and I jumped into action and spent a good half an hour cleaning her cuts, trying to communicate with the locals using hand gestures for bandages, and trying to clean the 3 litres of blood off the floor of the bar. I got more of Tanita's blood on me than I would have liked but finally she was feeling better.

Tanita is an absolute firecracker. I am so impressed with how she handled this whole ordeal. Every single other girl I know would have cried, or freaked out by all the blood...basically handle it like a normal person. But not this lekker girl. She did not shed a single tear, and downplayed the whole thing. Seriously she is freaking. She barely even flinched when we were putting salt water on her wounds. When we said we will go back and take her to the hotel you know what she said? She was like no way, let's go find another beach. So we wrapped her feet in toilet paper and tape, gave her my toms so sand wouldn't get in her cuts, and she limped her way over to the scooters and away we went.

What a champ.

So we found another beach! We sat down and had a fruit smoothie then Mick and I played in the water while a kind Thai man helped Tanita put Aloe on her cuts. Back in business.

Okay this post was suuuper long and I'm sorry. I will seriously start planning these out better so it doesn't take an hour to read. So I will leave you with a video of us riding on the scooter! And let you know that I wish I could shrink all of you and put you in my pocket and take you with me everywhere I go so you could see the things I am seeing!! Love Mackensey

Safe and sound.

Herro! Just thought I would let you guys know we are safe and sound...and dry. Great news right? I know. I know. But for real, we are far from the floods now. It wasn't necessarily smooth sailing though, more like 20 hours of incenssant Thai music. I wont lie to you guys, Thai music is not great...at all. It is the opposite of great actually. But thank goodness I get car sick because I had an excuse to pop a gravol and pass out for about 10 hours of the ride.

The floods have been pretty bad here though. We were quite lucky to even get a bus out of Bangkok, especially since there was only one station that wasn't under water so it was pretty packed. The entire station was stuffed, it felt like being in a documentary or a news clip with people lining the walls, using luggage as pillows, playing cards, staring at us...anything to pass the time. Anyways the bus to Phuket ended up being full so we jumped on a bus to Krabi then from there caught another bus and made the final 3 hour trek to Phuket. The beach made the whole trip worth it though.

We had another unreal day today, I LOVE Phuket, but we have another day here so I will blog about it all in one go. For now I thought I would share with you guys the music Mick and I have been jamming to over here. You might find something you like...so enjoy!!

You didn't get any pictures this time but you got some cool videos so that's fair right? There will be tons of photos tomorrow so please no hate mail.

THANKS I LOVE YOU ALL

Never get enough beach

Holy Moly Mi Oh My. Where to begin. Seriously. So right now we are in Bangkok. But if you guys are mature and watch the news you will know that the situation in Thailand is looking preeeetty bleak. The government has decided that they are basically going to shut Bangkok down as of 10 am tomorrow morning. No buses, no trains, no banks....and all the 7/11's have run out of water. Not good. Soooooo. Yeah. Our whole situation is a little bit on the dodgy side. But before all this happened we had an awesome time in Pattaya!

We met back up with our friends at Jomtien beach in Pattaya after a one night stand with Bangkok. I was so excited to see our South African friends again!

Car snacks are a necessity for any bus ride right? Yeah. If you're in a foreign country you should probably check the package before you buy some. Don't just assume that when you buy a package of peanuts there wont be 'seasoned anchoveys' mixed in with said peanuts. I guess I should have spent more time in school learning how to read....

Pattaya is one of those super famous tourist places so of course there are going to be tons of bars. This is walking street, where there are a whole bunch of different themed clubs, street vendors, ladyboys...and the unsuspecting victims of The Greatest Game Ever Invented.... but we'll get to that. First, some giant lobsters!

Huge.

Tanita just catching an early show before a night out. The girl has got her priorities right.

Dinner!! So much corn! And it's soooo yummy. I think corn tastes better over here. Maybe not though because corn is awesome everywhere.

 The gang...partially.

And now the moment you have all been waiting for, THE GREATEST GAME EVER INVENTED! Tanita and I should probably patent this game cause we would make millions.

The objective: to get your photo taken with complete strangers.

There are two ways in which you can play this game. The first, walk up behind strangers and get close enough for it took look like you are apart of their group, or you are good friends with the individual. Be sure to look like you are engaging the strangers in conversation so the photo seems more legitimate.
The second, walk up to a stranger with your camera, throw your arm around them and take a picture with them. If they pose...even better.

**NOTE: Bonus points are achieved by jumping into strangers photos that they are taking of their spouse, friend, children, or ladyboy. People seem to enjoy this.

ENJOY!!!!

The girl in the long dress cracked a really funny joke by the looks of things.

Best friends forever.

Mick didn't seem to be able to grasp the concept of the game fully. By that's okay. He tried.

This ladyboy was pretty smart, realized what we were doing, and had the courtesy to stop and take a picture with us. We love her.

We seriously played that game for hours. But soon everyone got tired and we called it a night. We had big plans the next day. We decided to jump on a ferry and head to an island for the day. The ferry ride was awesome, minus the engine blowing up just a little bit halfway through and pretty soon we were in clear water and on white beaches. For the first half an hour all any of us said was OMG I LOVE THAILAND. Then we realized we sounded like uber tourists and played it cool for the rest of the day.

Mick and I doing our typical model shoot. Mick is always so much better at it that I am.... I don't know why...

Our set up for the day. I can't even describe it.

Snorkelers!!

My friends are so cooooooool

Not sure what is going on here. He stood in this position for 45 minutes without moving a muscle....you guys should thank me for not taking a photo from the front...not okay.

The sand castle Matt and I built. I guess it's just your average sand castle. There's a main house, the circle in the bottom left hand corner is the fountain of youth, above that is the servants quarters, above that is the weaponry storage, beside that is the agricultural fields, and further to the right is the standard brothel...I mean, we are in Thailand.

This is how much water accumulates in 15 minutes of raining. I guess that's why everyone is freaking out.

I feel like I keep ending my posts with this, but, I'm not sure where we are going to end up in the next few days but I guess I'll keep you posted. Man, I'm getting even more adventure than I had bargained for. AND I LOVE IT.
